Patchwork Animal Letters
Each initial is hand appliquéd from sweet vintage-style patterned fabric, and is placed next to its corresponding animal. Each animal is also appliquéd, as well as hand embroidered with its own unique details and features. They all have black bead eyes, for their own perky expressions. Every letter comes in one of 4 colourways, so that you can perfectly match it to a nursery or other room decor.
The complementary colour schemes mean that it's really easy to to create a beautiful display by buying the letters to spell out name. Or why not create a stunning frieze by using the whole alphabet?
The letters are 100% hand sewn (no sewing machine), as I really wanted to get a traditional, ‘shabby chic’ effect. I have enhanced this by using contrasting thread colours to really show up the stitches.
Each letter is neatly mounted on foam core backing board, ready for framing. (Frames shown are for photography purposes only). Letters are gently padded before mounting, so give them a softer look. With mounting, pieces are 6"x 6", or 15cm x 15cm. They are around 5mm deep at the edges.
