These beautiful Squirrel Nutkin hanging ornaments would be a lovely gift for a bookworm who loves classic children's books, or for a red squirrel fan! They would also make amazing, unique Christmas tree ornaments.
These one of a kind ornaments have been handmade from a recycled copy of Beatrix Potter's classic 'Squirrel Nutkin' book.  The individual illustrations have been sealed under glass, then mounted in a silver alloy setting.  They have a little satin ribbon to hang them up with.  (Currently the ribbon used is blue, but I can change it to a pink one if you'd like - just ask when you order!).
I have numbered the photos of the ornaments so that you can see which is which.  Select the one you would like when you make your purchase.  As these are made from an original vintage copy of the book there is only one version of each illustration, so get your favourite quick before someone else does!
They measure approx 5 cm x 3.25 cm  (2 in x 1.3 in).

The ornaments come beautifully presented in a little velvet bag with a hand stamped and written label.
The book I've used was a badly damaged copy that had been donated to a charity shop.  The charity received a donation from me, and the book is recycled and gets to live a second life :)
